From 12,838', Mt Stanford watches over this tarn. This is the northern of the two Mt Stanford's in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The land is ready for winter. Soon there should be ten to fifteen feet of snow on the ground. And sometimes it gets deeper. Brrr, maybe I should go home now!
