Mather Pass is one of the highest places on the Pacific Crest trail, topping out at 12,100'. Here in Kings Canyon Park, that's no big deal though. As you can see I took this picture from higher elevation. That nice-looking peak behind it isn't much to brag about either, it doesn't even have a name. But I like it. Maybe I'll climb it someday?
