Upper Basin
I hereby name this little island Grass Island! Of course, nobody officially cares. Since the lake itself doesn't have a name, why should the island? This is the lake I camped next to for three nights in Upper Basin. One night, the rain stopped for a while, and I heard the unmistakeable sound of a large four-legged creature walking around the camp. My hiking partner reported hearing a snuffling at his tent. I thought it was a bear, but then it started raining again and washed away any possible tracks.
An entertaining lightning storm moved by in the west, but only dropped a little bit of rain over here on Grass Island Lake.
