I took this picture of the south face of 13,977' Mt Keith from over 13,000'. Both of these peaks are on the Sierra Crest. Shepherd Creek runs down the canyon between. Off to the right is Owen's Valley. Mt Keith rises 10,000' directly up from the valley floor, with no foothills to block the way. It's a pretty spectacular change in elevation.
