Bubbs Creek

From Vidette Meadow Bubbs Creek drops down a steep hill into Junction Meadow. You can see a series of waterfalls. While I was camped here in Junction Meadow it rained for about thirty hours, the temperature was in the mid thirties the entire time. After the storm I can see that a couple hundred feet elevation over the meadow there is a tad bit of snow on the trees. But about four hundred feet above the meadow the trees have a thick coating of snow. What a difference a little elevation makes. It is common to get snow this time of year, but this storm is more significant than normal for October.
