Jeffrey's Shooting Star
I love this picture. The tarn is near Chocolate Peak, the summit of which was my destination that day. But I'll stop for something like this every time. I like taking pictures of flowers, mountains and lakes (as if you couldn't tell) and when I get them all together it's irresistable. The mountain is Mt Goode, elevation 13,092'. I should put it on my list of peaks to climb. Jeffrey's Shooting Star is a common flower, blooming early in the year. You can tell it is spring by the snowbank on the other side of the tarn (a tarn is a small mountain lake). Dodecatheon jeffreyi (Primrose family)
