Brown Bells
I found this lovely Fritillary in the Hite's Cove area outside of Yosemite Park. Like most Fritillaries the flower hangs upside down, hence the popular term Bells. This one has translucent lemon-lime colored petals, so that you can see the purple/brown spots from the outside, even though the spots are on the inside. Very nice. Fritillaria micrantha (Lily family)
