Speckled Clarkia
You're probably tired of the mountains - just a bunch of snow and rocks, so let's move on into some colorful California Wildflowers for a while. These yellow flowers are Locoweed. They are a Vetch in the Pea family. They do a good job of framing a Speckled Clarkia. This wonderful flower in the Evening Primrose family has the scientific name of Clarkia cylindrica. I like flower pictures. Do you? If so, keep pushing the forward arrow on each page. Otherwise, use the Map link next to it to find some more mountains.
