Gorman Hills Wildflowers
This is one of the most spectacular wildflower areas in the USA, maybe the world. Unfortunately, it is currently being threatened by development. Many years people drive by and say 'so what?' But in the best years the flowers bloom so thick that you can hardly see the green of the plants, and especially you will not see the ground. All these hills turn into a vast mat of color. This picture here shows a normal event. Most of the year the hills here are brown. Winter snow can turn them white. When the rain turns them green in the spring, then watch out!!
