Normally hot and dead, this year has a good amount of green. In fact, I come to this place often in the winter and spring, and this is almost as green as it gets. Strange, since there wasn't that much rain. The sandy area is a dry creek. We'll hang out here a few days to see what we might see, then head up into the mountains.
