The California Poppy is the state flower of California. And no wonder, it often blooms in great abundance, filling fields for miles. Nearly every single blossom on nearly every single plant has that wonderful shiny orange color (yellowing as it fades). Each plant can have a bunch of flowers on it. But every once in a great while, I spot an albino plant. Isn't it great? Eschscholzia californica (Poppy family)
