North Palisade

The highest peak on the left is North Palisade. At 14,242' it is one of the highest peaks in California. Many climbers consider it to be the classic peak in the state. You can see that it's west face drops off pretty dramatically, and I can assure you the east face is just as steep till it hits the glacier. There is no easy way to climb it. Just in front of North Palisade, Polemonium Peak is the shaded peak with the patch of snow on it. On the right is Mt Sill - both of them are also over 14,000 feet high.
