Mount Williamson

Mt Williamson is the second-highest peak in California, seen here from the Alabama Hills. It is a truly massive mountain, set apart from the Sierra Crest range. Topping out at 14,375', the high point is the rounded peak, not the three points on the right. As it rises two miles above the valley floor, it shows all the colors of the sunrise in one picture. The northeast ridge is five miles long. On the far left is Trojan Pk, 13,950'.
