Bighorn Plateau

The snow has melted early this year. The grass is growing, and hundreds of yellow flowers are blooming. In the background are Thunder Mtn and Mt Jordan. On the left is a large flat-topped mountain called Table Mtn. This mountain got its name from the fact that it consists of a large, flat plateau surrounded by cliffs. The highest point of the half-mile long Table Mtn plateau is at 13,630' elevation. People have been known to land helicopters up there, which is a lot easier than trying to scale the cliffs.
