California is home to many native Orchids. Most are pretty small, even tiny, but this one is a good sized flower. Also very pretty. I like the large green leaves, also. As the name implies it is found along streams and moist areas, usually in places that get lots of shade.   Epipactis gigantea   (Orchid family)
