Log Meadow
Log Meadow is one of the prettiest places in California. You'll find it in Giant Forest, at the end of a little trail. Notice all the redwood trees? Those are the Giant Sequoia trees that the forest is named after. They love this particular altitude, around 6500', and they require the very moist soil found here. The seven or so feet of snow you see here is not unusual. Sometimes it will be more than twice this deep.
